My usage of Jalopnik will be greatly diminished once Oppo is gone. I just won’t visit very often there isn’t enough new content to look more than once a week. The reason I went to Jalopnik was because I was on Oppo and wandered over. I am on Oppo a lot because it is a social platform with a lot more posts and therefore worth a lot more looks. I also went to Oppo because I was allowed to post as a guest. So once it is gone, I won’t be here as often. I don’t blame the Jalopnik staff for the decisions by their owners. But it’s going to kill traffic in my opinion. I recall seeing somewhere that Oppo on Drive Tribe had like 300,000 views in just the first couple of days. I guess G/O’s loss is Drivetribe’s gain. Too bad, a lot of good content will be going to the Ether on Monday.
